Courier Daily Summary: Payouts Without the Errors
End of the day. Shifts are closed, the last order delivered. And every manager running a delivery network on Syrve faces the same question, day after day: how much do we actually owe each courier for today?
Sounds simple. But a dozen details hide behind it — hourly rates, seniority, zones, mileage, bonuses for the fastest riders. And as long as it's all done by hand, mistakes are only a matter of time.
We automated this calculation for Syrve on the Fudov Smart platform. Here's how.
What Syrve already handles
Syrve does a great job managing couriers, routes and the driver app. What it doesn't include is a built-in engine for calculating courier payouts by flexible rules. If your payout logic is simple, the standard tools may well be enough.
But clients come to us who need to calculate payouts by their own rules — rules that are hard or impossible to set up in the back office.
What formulas clients bring us
Every request falls into one of three groups.
1. Paying for time worked. If courier shifts open and close correctly in Syrve, this part can be fully automated: we pull all shifts for the period, sum the hours worked, and multiply by the rate. Possible options:
- a single rate for everyone — e.g. €13/hour;
- individual hourly rates for specific couriers;
- different rates for walking, bike and car couriers;
- a higher rate for seniority — if a courier has worked more than one year, or more than three.
2. Paying per delivered order. This is where the options multiply:
- a flat payment per order — e.g. €4;
- different rates on weekdays and weekends — €4 and €5;
- a separate rate for each delivery zone;
- distance-based pay — for every kilometre from kitchen to address;
- a seniority bonus — e.g. +€0.50 per order;
- a personal bonus for the fastest couriers — e.g. +€1 per order.
3. Custom rules of their own. For example:
- a courier on a trike gets €100 per day no matter what, plus extra for every order above target;
- a reduced payment when a courier carries several orders to the same building or business centre in a single trip.
These rules combine any way you like — tailored to a specific delivery network.
The result
We packed all of this into a single report and called it "Courier Daily Summary". It's available to Fudov Smart subscribers.
The report shows everything you need for the calculation, courier by courier. Here's a real example: courier James — 5 orders, 4 trips, 6 h 43 min on shift, average delivery time per order 13 minutes. For every trip you can see the dispatch and delivery time, minutes en route, the zone, and the final delivery cost.
The manager no longer calculates — they just verify.
